Punta Cana Food and Fun
How can you blog about vacation and not talk about food? The main restaurant was steps from our rooms.
Glo Glo was up to the challenge of feeding three little cousins breakfast first thing in the morning!
There were all-you-can-eat buffets. Choices, choices...
The Caribbean views were very nice.
The desserts were amazing, especially on valentine's day.
After dinner, we recounted the day's events.
We danced to some music...
I'm stayin' alive!
It was a great trip! Thanks again, Zayda and Glo Glo!

Punta Cana Playtime
There were so many things to do in Punta Cana. Watersports, tennis, a spa, even archery and trapeze. Of course the best activity of all was pouring water from one bucket into another.
And digging holes!
Not to mention moving sand from one bucket into another.
And rafting in one of several kid-friendly pools.
There were some really fun playgrounds.
Merengue lessons!
Sightseeing.
And time to read a good book.
Daddy went sailing a few times (and only had to be towed back to shore once).
Before long we were ready for a good nap.
Everyone had a great time!

Punta Cana!
Two weeks ago Glo Glo and Zayda took us on a trip to Club Med in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, along with aunt Cara, uncle Francois, and our cousins, Leo and Flora. It was a tropical paradise!
Our room was next door to Zayda and Glo Glo's room and just around the corner from our Canadian cousins. We had a nice little balcony.
Julian tamed the native fauna...
...and Flora discovered the native, well, flora!
Here are Glo Glo and Zayda sitting by the pool.
And our silly cousins!
Julian showed his silly side, too.
Aunt Cara and uncle Francois took a walk on the beach.
And mommy enjoyed the comfort of a king-sized bed.
Daddy likes this picture that somehow makes him seem tall.
Even when it rained one day, we still had fun jumping in puddles.
And we always found time to share a nice snack.
It was a great trip...more to come!

Getting Big
Here are a few pictures of our boy from the last 3 weeks. He's getting so big! He says at least 150 words now (though it takes a little translation... truck is "tuck," snowman is "oh-meen," waffle is "wobble".) He is literally learning new words every day. He also says a few short phrases, many involving food (Pizza cook! Mommy eat!)
Julian is also getting very uh, "physically creative" - climbing the furniture constantly, and stacking and disassembling anything from legos to magazines. Here is a moment when I caught him taking apart his wagon, standing in it, and pumping his knees to make himself go.
He loves puppets lately, and turns anything into a puppet - from oven mitts to snow boots.
He loves to read...
And be tickled!
